Eventing? Dressage?
Long post due to no interest in pen pals.
The world's sweetest gelding is for sale.
8-year-old 165cm SWB gelding San Sebastian
Sire: Lohengrin di vila Emilia (Anglo-Arab who has competed in 160cm show jumping)
Dam: Sevilla (mare that has competed internationally at 140)
Dam's sire: Cardento.
Sebbe's one full sister competes in 150cm show jumping in China.
Sebbe's other full sister competes in 120-130 show jumping and is owned by Helena Lundbäck.
The dam has produced several successful competition offspring.
I bought Sebbe when he was 3 years old, mainly because he was so happy, positive, and kind, a truly luxurious all-round horse.
Sebbe has competed at 1m when he was 4 years old and was just outside placement to qualify for Falsterbo. (With a professional rider)
Otherwise, he has been owned and ridden by an amateur since he was 3 years old.
He has 3 very nice gaits, with a lot of push from behind.
Competitions have been done occasionally due to low interest from the rider.
He has done a bit of everything: dressage, jumping, trail rides, tried a bit of cross-country, etc.
He is a positive and happy individual that anyone can ride; if you get a bit off balance, he stops and waits until you are settled.
He has practically never bucked or done anything silly. When riding out alone shortly after leaving the yard, he may ask if it's time to go home by turning around; if you turn him back and continue riding, he says "okay" and carries on alone.
Sebbe has scope to spare; he will never be that super-fast guy. He jumps practically everything you point him at, though sometimes he may go a bit slower if he feels like he wants to take a good look.
In dressage, he is a super nice and willing guy, whom we believe can go really far there.
He can do changes, leg yielding, etc.
He enjoys swimming in the lake, is traffic-safe, easy to shoe, bathe, load himself, come in alone, compete, etc.
He has lived both in loose housing and in a box, has been in a mixed herd, and is high in rank.
He was a bit overworked as a young horse, which resulted in overexertion in the hind knees at 4 years old; he was treated and recovered and then had a very calm and long rehabilitation. He was checked at the clinic last summer, where he passed the examination but received a small injection in the hind knees after 3 years since the last one and after having done harder work last summer. No other issues.
He was X-rayed as a 3-year-old with 2 small Birkeland lesions in each hind fetlock, something that the insurance company does not even give a reservation for as they are such a common and insignificant finding. Can, of course, be removed if desired.
What is Sebbe looking for?
He would be perfect as a mother-daughter horse; he is incredibly kind, and anyone can ride him. Perhaps a mother who wants to train/compete in dressage? And a daughter who wants to start eventing. A best friend that you can do anything with.
Sebbe loves to gallop in the field, train dressage, and generally hang out doing most things.
